Hovering Parents a Good Thing?

Apparently hovering helicopter parents are in some cases a good thing. A recent article talks about how college students have a better college experience when parents intervene on their behalf and when parents have frequent contact with them. See here. College students in my study on family cell phone communication voiced similar responses about frequently connecting to their parents. Another sign that the Millennial generation is characterized as being particularly close to their parents.
